Ultra-Clima: Global horticulture with proven high-tech solutions

In a world that is constantly changing, the horticultural industry and its growers face ever-increasing challenges. A growing world population, climate change and changing labor regulations require innovative solutions to ensure sustainable food production. We all understand these challenges all too well.

More than 15 years ago, the semi-closed greenhouse was introduced by KUBO, Ultra-Clima, which pioneered the horticultural industry with this concept. This concept was born from a biological perspective, originally aimed at enabling pesticide-free cultivation by keeping insects out of the greenhouse. But it soon became clear that Ultra-Clima offers much more than just that.

At a time when climate change is becoming an increasingly pressing issue, Ultra-Clima could be an answer to how to ensure food production under increasingly extreme conditions. With Ultra-Clima, growers worldwide can achieve an optimal climate for their crops 24/7, 12 months a year, regardless of the local climate. The plant receives the ideal climate, making it as robust as possible. This makes it less susceptible to disease and allows the crop to grow faster than other growing concepts, leading to higher production.

The concept also helps increase labor efficiency and reduce the use of natural resources, resulting in a more sustainable and environmentally friendly crop.

With this Ultra-Clima, KUBO is determined to shape the transition in the horticultural sector and have a positive impact on the global food supply. With this concept, they want to support growers worldwide (now more than 700 hectares) to realize their full potential and contribute to a healthier and more sustainable future for all.
