Family business Van Baalen has chosen the ERP system from SDF Horti Software
This Westland-based family company, led by Wim and Tine van Baalen, together with their daughter Hanneke and son Jasper, is continuing independently under the name VB Plants after a long-term collaboration with PP Orchids. The strategic choice for SDF coincides with an innovation in cultivation, allowing Van Baalen to position itself even better in the market. SDF contributes to this by seamlessly integrating with Floriday, providing clear packing instructions, and offering visibility into order statuses.
Fast implementation of SDF thanks to experience and tight planning
The decision to go with SDF was made in the fall of 2024. Thanks to Van Baalen’s previous experience with the ERP package at PP Orchids, the choice was quickly made. From the very first conversation, it was clear that the system needed to be operational by March 2025 at the latest. To achieve this, SDF consultant Martijn Bentvelzen immediately started working on the setup. Together, a detailed implementation plan was drawn up and executed.
